Class Overview:

BDSM 101 is intended to be a comprehensive introductory course for those new to the lifestyle,  designed to provide a safe, respectful, and educational environment for individuals interested in exploring the world of Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism (BDSM). This course aims to foster understanding, consent, and communication while offering participants a foundational understanding of BDSM practices, dynamics, and principles.

Course Objectives:

• Understanding BDSM Terminology: Gain a comprehensive grasp of BDSM terminology, including essential concepts such as risk awareness, consent, negotiations, safe words, limits, and aftercare.
• Exploring Consent: Emphasize the importance of informed, enthusiastic, and continuous consent within BDSM dynamics. Discuss negotiation techniques and consent practices that prioritize safety and boundaries.
• Safety and Risk Awareness: Learn about safety measures, risk assessment, and harm reduction strategies associated with various BDSM activities.
• Bondage and Restraints: Explore the art of bondage and restraints, including different types of equipment, techniques, and safety considerations. Practice safe and consensual bondage in a controlled environment.
• Discipline and Punishment: Examine the role of discipline and punishment in BDSM relationships, focusing on the psychological aspects, consensual power dynamics, and communication strategies for effective discipline.
• Basic Dungeon Etiquette - Learn how to politely and confidently navigate a dungeon or play party environment.
• D/s Dynamics: Delve into the dynamics of Dominance and submission (D/s) relationships, understanding roles, responsibilities, and the importance of clear communication between partners.
• Impact Play and Sensation Play: Explore various forms of impact play, such as spanking, flogging, and caning, as well as sensation play, including wax play, sensory deprivation, and more.
• Role-Play and Fetish Exploration: Discuss role-play scenarios and fetish exploration, emphasizing the importance of consent, boundaries, and negotiation in these activities.
• Aftercare and Emotional Well-being: Explore the concept of aftercare and its significance in BDSM scenes. Learn how to provide and receive emotional support and care after engaging in BDSM activities.
• Community and Resources: Connect with local and online BDSM communities, learn about resources, and gain insights into events, workshops, and literature for further exploration and education.

This class is conducted in a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive environment. It consists of a series of lectures, discussions, practical demonstrations (with optional participation), and opportunities for questions and open dialogue. Participants are encouraged to engage respectfully with diverse perspectives and experiences within the BDSM community.

No prior BDSM experience is necessary to enroll in this class. All participants must be 21 years of age or older.

BDSM 101 is designed to promote safe, consensual, and respectful exploration of BDSM practices. It is not intended to endorse or encourage any non-consensual or abusive behavior. Consent, communication, and safety are paramount throughout the course.

Class instructor, Princess Roxi Razorblade, has over a decade of experience as a lifestyle kinkster and three years of experience as a Pro Dom. Her years of experience and dedication to educating those new to the lifestyle make her a source of valuable experience and insight.
